Caleb Summerfelt

Caleb Summerfelt is a designer, storyteller, Rotary leader, and digital publisher focused on helping people and organizations communicate with clarity, purpose, and impact.

He is the founder of Uniting Through Service (UTS), an international storytelling and news platform created to highlight the work, ideas, and people driving meaningful change through Rotary and service organizations around the world. Under his leadership, UTS has grown into a rapidly expanding publication focused on service, leadership, public image, membership growth, humanitarian impact, and global connection.

Caleb currently serves as Rotary International Public Image Coordinator for Region 34 and previously served as District Governor for Rotary International District 5020 during the 2023–2024 Rotary year. During his term as District Governor, Rotary District 5020 raised more than $11.5 million for The Rotary Foundation, helping support projects and initiatives both locally and globally.

Before focusing on publishing, storytelling, and creative leadership full time, Caleb spent more than two decades as a Chief Information Officer and technology leader overseeing enterprise systems, cybersecurity, communications infrastructure, and strategic operations. His professional background bridges technology, design, leadership, architecture, branding, and public communication.

Caleb is also the founder of NSB Design Works and Great Bowerbirdling Design, creative companies centered around design, storytelling, branding, fabrication, and digital media. His work often combines technical precision with visual storytelling to help organizations communicate more effectively and create meaningful experiences.

A lifelong advocate for resilience, inclusion, and personal growth, Caleb frequently writes and speaks about overcoming adversity, leadership through service, public image strategy, and the power one person has to make a difference. His work is heavily influenced by his personal journey navigating a visual processing disability, an experience that shaped his perspective on leadership, empathy, perseverance, and communication.

He is currently developing several books and media projects focused on leadership, resilience, storytelling, and the human side of service.

Caleb holds degrees in architecture and engineering technology management from Washington State University and continues to work at the intersection of creativity, technology, leadership, and service.
